Everyone has a different reaction when put in situations where they aren't comfortable. Teachers often spend a whole lesson explaining different ways for students to handle everyday problems. Their methods of problem solving may impact us some way or another but in the end we eventually make our own choices and solve problems our own way. Through out the years students realize that there are different ways to pass certain classes. All depending on the teacher, some teachers are more linient than others.
